Road Rage and Life’s Frustrations: A Wake-Up Call to Kindness

This morning was quite an experience; I’m sure many of you can relate. It started with a bit of road rage. No, wait…not a bit, a whole lot of rage.

I was on a two-lane road that merges into one, and a young man sped up just to cut me off. I brushed it off despite feeling annoyed. Soon after, I could pass him when the road became two lanes again. So, I did.

That’s when things escalated. He glared at me, shouting and gesturing as if I’d done something terrible, something life-altering.

His level of anger was shocking — utterly disproportionate to the situation. We stopped at a light, and he continued yelling. I was confused while I sat there. I raised my hands to ask, “What?” I couldn’t understand how something so minor could spark such rage. And I mean, RAGE. Sheesh!

It got me thinking: this was about something other than merging lanes. There’s something deeper going on here. This guy is not quite right. Not himself.

People seem so frustrated with life that even a simple act of merging becomes a battleground.
